Certification Program

Products manufactured by Intl. Marble Industries, Inc. are tested by an independent laboratory to assure you of continuing quality standards. Testing standards include:

  • Stain resistance: black crayon, black liquid shoe polish, washable blue ink, lipstick, hair dye and iodine solution.
  • Chemical resistance: household ammonia, citric acid solution, hydrogen peroxide, Clorox, Lysol, ethyl acetate, Drano, acetone and Toluene.
  • Water resistance: resists cracking, crazing, blistering or spalling from water of 45°F and 150°F.
  • Colorfastness: resists fading in color or surface texture.
  • Impact: resists cracking and chipping.
  • Load: resists cracking under a 300 pound weight.
